I still vividly remember my Dad telling me to, “Eat your greens!”. Well, he was right! Leafy greens are a fantastic food as they have a number of amazing attributes. Leafy greens, such as kale and spinach, are low in calories but packed full of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fibre.
As a low energy density food, if you are trying to burn fat, adding leafy greens to your plate will mean that you can fill your plate but consume fewer calories over all.
